Confessions of a Fast Breaker~

I have read over and over that breaking the fast is harder than the fast itself....and I have been prepared for that...reading as much as I can get my hands on as I do with everything I'm learning about. So today my first day of eating anything for a month I decided on prunes...as if they are not bad enough all dry and chewy, like hideous giant raisins (that's another story) but soaked overnight they become mutated, bloated non-entities...
aaaaagggghhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!

Let me just say that before today I have never actually eaten a prune...sure I could have but being that I have exercised my right hitherto to eat by choice (hence the necessity to lower my standards and actually do the deed) I declined all prune advances...until now!! The need to kick my slumbering digestive system into gear made it the most likely "food" to do it as testified to by more informed Fasters than I, a mere novice. So...I soaked them overnight and let me just say that one lb of dried prunes swells up to about four times their previous size...that's a damn lot of prunes. So...over the course of the day I've had about 16 of them, several large glasses of water, 2 16 oz bottles of 1/2 fresh apple juice and 1/2 prune juice (soak water- sounds like something that would have socks muddling around in it doesn't it? Yeah, don't answer that!!!

Things are definitely moving around in there...lots of gurgling but not a whole hell of a lot of action and certainly no,(please forgive my indelicacy), no mucoid plaque which quite frankly I'd like to see...better out than in right? Right!

So....I am off to bed where I will hopefully sleep the night away, dreaming sweetly of raw fruits, veggies, green smoothies & salads while the prunes do their magic and resist the urge to wake me up in the middle of the night impatient to introduce me to Mr. MP.  One can hope...sweet dreams all~

And oh!!! I also ate a baked french fry...one stinkin', crappy Oreida baked crinkle cut! And man was it good!!! Hahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaa......ok *getting a grip*
